Question

Asked by: Mark
Subject: Gyroscope in steadicam
Question: Dear fellow Gyro-lovers,

I am about to finish my highschool, but before that I have to do a research or should do an invention on specific subjects. Now my idea was to make a steadicam (a mechanical instrument that makes sure that videos made with one are stable and not shocky). Sad enough, such one does already exist.
So what I wanted to do in order to improve one, is making one able to also get a steady tilt instead of always keeping the same (parallel to the ground) by making use of gyros. I know gyro's can spin due to precession, so will this be possible.

To get at my question: Is my idea possible? And if, or if not; Could you please tell me what I can do best in order to get my masterpiece rolling and to graduate.

Thanks in advance!
