In medical laboratories centrifuges are used to spin out liquid samples into their relative layers by density.
i.e Can be used to seperate water from oil as an example.
Medical centifuges typically spin up to 3,000rpm.
Some of the ultra centrifuges can go up to 10,000rpm but require the samples to be weighed prior to insertion as slight imperfections in weight can throw the balance of the centrifuge off at high speeds. DANGEROUS
