Gyro Ring |
Question: |
I have this toy to analyze, its a gyro ring, maybe you've heard of it? Its a metal ring with smaller colored rings on it, when you spin the small rings in the right way they begin a gyro like motion on the right which is perpetuated by rotating the large ring. Seems like the vertical motion of the ring is somehow transformed into motion of the smaller rings. How different is this from a regular gyro, and whats special about the little rings that allows them to behave this way? |
